DEAN’S PROFILE

Dr. Gide Umar Saleh is the Dean College of Education, Al-Qalam University. Dr. Umar holds the National Certificate of Education (NCE) and B. A. Ed (Language Arts) from College of Education Kafanchan and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, respectively. He obtained M. Ed and PhD (Language Education) at Usman Danfodio University Sokoto. Dr. Umar has taught at all levels of education and attended several conferences and seminars where he presented papers. He has to his credit more than thirty conference/seminar papers and journal articles published both locally and internationally. Dr. Umar has served as a lecturer at both sub-university and university levels. He has held so many positions both administrative and academic during the period. Dr. Umar is a member of National Association of Teachers of English and National Association of Curriculum Studies as well as Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.

VISION

The vision of the College is to face the challenges posed by modern scientific approaches to teaching in a modern technologically driven world

MISSION

The mission of the College is to produce highly skilled, Allah fearing, technologically driven, refined, and scientifically creative teachers capable of teaching their chosen subjects and handle educational issues.
