The MIS unit is presently under the Office of The Vice Chancellor. The unit plays a strategic position which must be emphasized and harnessed by the Universities. The challenges facing the Universities in the new global information management include provision of efficient, effective, accurate and timely information about the University activities and effective distribution of this information to all needed departments or units of the university and the lager society. This information covers the area of Staff Management (Academic and Non-Academic), Students Records Management (Admission, Registrations and Results), Financial Management (Budgets, Variance, Income, and Expenditure) and General Office Administration, University Affiliates (NUC, Ministry of Education, Security Agencies and others sister Universities). The role of the MIS in providing the management with up-to-date, relevant information necessary for taking the right decision cannot be over-emphasized
Vision and Mission of MIS

MIS looks forward to automate the work at the different departments inside the university to provide all required data accurately and quickly which leads to support decision-makers at all levels and help in the future planning for all departments of the university.

MIS seeks to provide applications and services that: depend on the information technology, support the automation of administrative actions, and reduce the time taken to provide service for beneficiaries at the different departments as well as increase the speed of course flow of documents and information inside the university.
Main Objectives of MIS are:
• Apply automatic systems instead of manual works
• Facilitate the administrative works
• Simplify work procedures
• Mange works remotely
• Make decisions quickly
• Exchange information in the University and Other Stakeholders.
