Business Manager, Sterling Bank Katsina seeks partnership with Al-Qalam University
Sterling Bank, Katsina and the Management of Al-Qalam University have opened discussions on the deployment of an electronic banking outlet popularly known as Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in the University.
The ATM will allow both students and staff to carryout financial transactions on their accounts from the premises of the University without going to their banks inside the city.
Briefing Management on the partnership proposal, the Sterling Bank Business Manager, Ibrahim Baba said the ATM would be deployed by the Bank while Al-Qalam University would be required to provide the space to install the electronic machine, security and steady power supply in case of power outage from the public source.
The Business Manager also talked about other business partnership in the areas of hostel construction, branded student ID/Debit Cards, E-Library and on-line library portal.
In his remark, the Vice Chancellor Al-Qalam University, Professor Shehu G. Ado commended the Sterling Bank Business Manager for taken the initiative to come up with various business products for partnership with the University.
Professor Ado then requested the Manager to present a written proposal to the Management as soon as possible so that all grey areas could be sorted without delay.
In related development, the Vice Chancellor, Al-Qalam University Professor Shehu G. Ado has received the Head of Kaduna Branch of Jaiz Takaful Insurance Plc, Alhaji Aliyu Usman.
Alhaji Aliyu Usman introduced the Islamic concept of insurance to the Mangement of the University so as to consider in insuring its assets.
