Management of Al-Qalam University rewards excellence

The Management of Al-Qalam University, Katsina has converted the appointment of one of its casual workers, Malam Ibrahim Saidu to a permanent appointment due to his commitment and dedication to work.
The College of Education of the University where Malam Ibrahim was assigned as a cleaner identified his strong commitment to his duty and decided to forward an excellent recommendation to the University Management which then resolved to offer Malam Ibrahim with a permanent appointment as a Messenger/Cleaner with effect from August, 2017.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Shehu Garki Ado presented Malam Ibrahim with his new letter of appointment at a brief ceremony attended by members of the Management, the Dean and Staff of the College of Education and other Casual Workers.
Professor Ado congratulated Malam Ibrahim and urged his colleagues to emulate his great feat pointing out that the Management would always compensate workers who are consistently adding value to the University.
Earlier, in his remarks, the Dean of the College of Education Dr Gide Umar Saleh explained that for a long time, the College has been observing the level of commitment and the diligent manner Malam Ibrahim was discharging his duties.
“ Malam Ibrahim was always the first to report to work as early as 7am and also the last to close, despite the fact that he has to trek to the University each day from Sokoto Rima Area of Katsina town, a distance of about 5 kilometres.”
Dr Gide said in appreciation of his commitment, staff of the College contributed money and bought a motorcycle to Malam Ibrahim and which the Vice Chancellor also presented to him at the occasion.
In a remark, Malam Ibrahin Saidu thanked the Management and Staff of the College of Education for finding him worthy of the permanent appointment and the motorcycle award respectively.
