AL-QALAM UNIVERSITY PAYS CONDELANCE VISIT OF LATE AMBASSADOR MAGAJI MOHAMMED
The Vice-Chancellor, Al-Qalam University, Professor Ado Shehu Garki led Management to condole the Chairman, Board of Trustee of the University, Alhaji Lawal Kaita over the death of Ambassador Magaji Mohammed.
The University Management prayed to ALLAH (SWA) to grant the deceased forgiveness and for his family and close associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Born 77 years ago in Dutsin-ma, Katsina State, late Ambassador Magaji Mohammed died on Saturday 15th April, 2017. He was buried in Kaduna after a funeral prayer at Sultan Bello Mosque.
Appointed Minister of Commerce and Industry by President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2003, the deceased also served as Ambassador to Saudi Arabia between 1999 – 2003.
Late Magaji Mohammed was also a gubernatorial contender under the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina State in 2007.
Among his children is Hajiya Asma’u Ahmed Makarfi, wife of former Kaduna State Governor.
Late Magaji Mohammed was close associate and political ally of Lawal Kaita, Sani Zangon Daura who is the Pro-Chancellor of Al-Qalam University Katsina.
